SunoSathi helps deaf and hard-of-hearing people use their own phone number: calls are captioned live so you can read what the caller says, and you can reply by voice, typing, or picture tiles. To do this the service must process call audio. This page explains exactly what we collect, why, and your choices.
What we collect and why

App permissions
- Microphone — used only during an active call (or the caption tester) so you can speak to the caller. You can decline it and still read captions and type-to-speak.
- Notifications — used to ring you when a call comes in.
- The Android app runs a background connection so incoming calls can ring even when the app is closed.
Who processes your data
- Sarvam AI (India) — converts call audio to captions and typed text to speech.
- Vobiz (India) — telephony carrier that connects forwarded calls.
- Railway — cloud hosting for our server and database.
- Google Analytics — anonymous usage statistics (pages visited, features used) so we can improve the app. No call audio, captions, names or numbers are ever sent to Analytics.
We do not sell your data, show ads, or share your data with anyone beyond the processors above. Call audio is sent to Sarvam AI solely to produce your captions.
Retention and deletion
Call recordings, transcripts and history stay in your account so you can re-read them. You can delete individual calls in the app. To delete your account and all its data (calls, recordings, contacts), email tnlangalia@gmail.com from your registered email — we delete within 30 days and confirm.
Security
All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/WSS). Passwords are stored hashed. Access to stored calls is restricted to your logged-in account.
Children
SunoSathi is not directed at children under 13. The account holder must be an adult or a minor's guardian.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will note it here with a new date.
